Hi Top Bonnet Birdguard - St/St - Solid Fuel - Terracotta

£52.18  RRP £54.00 (Including VAT at 20%)

Availability: Usually dispatched the next working day.

This all stainless steel birdguard is suitable for use with appliances fired by solid fuel or oil. It is also suitable for disused chimneys, and ventilation purposes.

All Stainless Steel
Every part of this chimney cowl, including the mesh, the straps and the fixing kit, is manufactured in 316 grade stainless steel. This is the best quality material available for chimney cowls and offers guaranteed protection against corrosion or rust.

Strong Stainless Steel Mesh
The mesh in this cowl is 12 guage (2mm), which is thicker than most chimney cowls on the market.

Powder Coated Brown
The cowl is coated in a highly protective terracotta coloured finish, giving an unobtrusive look to the installed product.

Spun Top
The lid of the cowl is spun, giving a perfectly balanced look, and increasing the strength of the product.

Approved
This chimney cowl has been tested to BSEN 1856 part 1 and BS715

Features
All 316 grade stainless steel construction
12 guage (2mm) fully welded mesh
Stops birds and other vermin from entering the chimney stack
Integral spun rain cap reduces rain entry and subsequent structural damage caused by the freeze/thaw cycle
Fits live or dead chimneys
Powder coated finish.
Instant simple secure fixing with three adjustable legs and strap band (included)
Fits 150mm-250mm (6 inch to 10 inch) flue sizes

Fixing Method
This chimney cowl uses a strap band fixing method, considered to be the most secure method of fixing chimney cowls in the industry.

Three legs are integral to the cowl, and a stainless steel band (like a large jubilee clip) secures the cowl to the chimney pot. The bottom ends of the straps are then unturned to complete the installation.

The strap band fixings are included with this cowl.

Excellent product at at good price  The “Hi Top Bonnet Birdguard” arrived very quickly, was very easy to fit securely, and has kept all the recent heavy rain out of our chimney. I am very impressed with it! (Paid £36 + VAT)   (04/02/2014) -

An excellent product. Great value for money  An excellent device that should give years of service keeping rain and birds at bay. The all stainless steel construction should ensure good corrosion resistance and the large lid is very effective at keeping the rain out. The price is only slightly more than the useless aluminium version.   (12/03/2014) R H Dahm - Leicestershire

Chimney cowl  Excellent and prompt service. No problems with delivery. Top firm to deal with!   (03/06/2014) -

Knowledgeable staff  Good product and advice from staff   (17/09/2014) David - Wales

Excellent product and service  The service we received was first class and we were very pleased with the quality of the cowl when it arrived. The builder who fitted it was equally impressed.   (17/09/2014) -

A sturdy effective cowl  Purchased this to replace a pre-existing cowl that was so wide it interfered with a vented 'mushroom' cap on a closely adjacent pot. It proved ideal as it is narrow, and the coolie cap higher, so it cleared the adjacent cap. It should last well and resist dislodging when chimney is swept.   (17/09/2014) Phil Keeble - Inverurie, Aberdeenshire

Cowl / Birdguard  After searching a number of websites and local roofing suppliers we ended up here. Price was the driving factor, delivery was missed but using the Royal Mail it ended up at our local Post Office so no problems. Installed it ourselves and was simple and seemed decent quality. All good.   (06/11/2014) CC Jones - Kidderminster
