Description
A permanently open fresh air baffled vent use as required for
the installation of wood burning stoves whose output is over
5kW.These air vents are
HETAS approved.
This one model is suitable for
any of the wood burning stoves that we offer. It is not required
if your stove output is 5kW or under.
Please note that regulations
state that this air vent must be permanently open. |

Air
Supply to Solid Fuel Appliances
For our wood burning and multi fuel stoves, the following is the extract
that we use from Table 2.1 (page 24) of the
Building Regulations:-

openings with a total free area of at least 550mm˛ per kW of
appliance rated output above 5kW. |
This 125mm air vent has a
total equivalent free area of 6390mm˛, and allows for 11.6kw over the 5kw,
so allowing for a maximum stove kW output of 16.6 kW.
