The Woodsaver attaches magnetically, directly to metal flue pipe. Optimal location is at eye level, no less than 300mm (12") above the top of the stove, where you can easily see it in the room.

Very Useful A stove pipe thermometer is one of those products that, once you have one, you wonder how you managed without. It's a great visual indicator of when to reload your stove, or to close it down a bit. Don't use this model on the stove itself however, as the paint will peel off the thermometer.
