The Rotorvent Ultralite 2 is a revolving chimney cowl designed to eradicate downdraught in chimney flues and ducts, whilst the rotating action assists ventilation. The Ultralite 2 has an aluminium globe construction, which is painted black to prevent reflections from sunlight whilst rotating. The Rotorvent Ultralite 2 is lighter, thanks to an aluminium globe, which enables it to operate at wind speeds up to 100mph.
Not for use on flues with temperatures exceeding 250 degrees C

The burning of wet or unseasoned wood must be avoided when using this cowl. It will cause the cowl to seize, and you will not be covered under the manufacturers guarantee.
Limitations of Use for all Globe Type Revolving Chimney Cowls
Do not use a globe type revolving cowl on a bungalow or short flue that serves an appliance burning any type of solid fuel (wood, coal etc). The termperatures at the top of the chimney stack on these short flues will be in excess of the capacity of the cowl and you will not be covered under guarantee. We recommend the Dragon Cowl for these types of installation.

Recommend My builder fitted this very easily and quickly today. He was impressed at the fact it was so silent, yet was whizzing around as if on ballbearings. He felt sure it would greatly help, if not alleviate, the down-draught problem I have with my chimney. The cowl is a lovely design and very well made.

Spinning like a good thing! Put this up on the chimney last week, was simple and straightforward to fit. Given that its May the fire has not been lit yet but I would be very surprised if it didn't do the job.
