Here are some of the most popular questions:- Installing a wood burning stove in a masonry chimney stack What diameter multi fuel chimney liner do I need? Do I need a multi fuel chimney liner? Multi fuel chimney liner installation instructions What grade of stainless steel should my chimney liner be? Which way up do I install your chimney liner? Do I need to insulated my chimney liner? Or click the link below to view them all. Multi Fuel Chimney Liner Knowledgebase Articles We have laid our liner and components out in sections to make it easier for customers to work through the items they will need for their installation. Start with the liner itself. Always order a bit more rather than risk have it too short, as you can't join liners together. Then select your top end components, bottom end components, sundries and, if required, insulation products. Delivery is free on all order over £100 nett to UK Mainland customers (excluding Highlands). There are some competitors selling "cheap" chimney liner online. It's not for us to make the choice for you, but please be aware of some of the issues below:- Retail customers tend to assume that chimney liner is chimney liner, and to be fair, they do look the same. One of the issues we have is in getting across that they are not. There are two types of machine for manufacturing multi fuel chimney liner. One uses a single strip of stainless steel which is folded to form both the inner and outer skins on the liner. The other, and in our experience, vastly superior method uses two separate strips of stainless steel; one for the inner skin and one for the outer skin. The benefits of two separate strips is that the stainless steel itself does not need to be as thick, which inturn enables more revolutions per metre, which gives a stronger, more flexible chimney liner, which is less prone to splitting when being pulled down the chimney. A 1 metre length of liner manufactured with two strips is heavier than the equivalent manufactured with a single strip. You get more weight of stainless steel per metre. We have been selling chimney liners online since 2000, and have sold both types in our time. We now only sell double strip chimney liner. Barely a day passes where we don't get a customer call us with a quote like this:- "I have been quoted £xxxx for my chimney liner. How can you sell it for the price that you do? You can't be selling the same stuff." Let's lift the lid on that one! The list price of chimney liner (and indeed many items in the chimney industry) is extremely high, with merchants receiving very high discounts off the list price. Here's a great example:- The current list prices for our 150mm multi fuel chimney liner:- 316/316 grade:- £134.56 + vat per metre 904/904 grade:- £222.90 + vat per metre Wow I hear you say! We sell well over £1 million of multi fuel chimney liner per year, which means we get a bigger discount than other merchants already large discount. If you have been quoted £40, £50, £60 or even £150 per metre (we won't name you but you know who you are), you are being ripped off, no question. |

A twin skin multi fuel flexible chimney liner used for relining masonry chimney stacks. Outer corrugated layer provides a protective casing during the installation process and after installation it helps protect the inner layer from corrosion due to attack by residual deposits. The inner layer is smooth to discourage the build up of soot and other potentially corrosive residues and to encourage the unimpared flow of flue gasses. Inner and outer layers are joined by the triple lock joint system. Acknowledged to be the best jointing system available, the triple lock joint provides strength and stability by distributing forces evenly round ther chimney liner. The overlapping joint construction protects the joint from the potentially damaging effects of condensation. Inner Skin:- Stainless steel grade 316 or 904, 0.105mm thickness Outer Skin:- Stainless steel grade 316 or 904, 0.105mm thickness Triple lock jointing system. The twin wall construction, with triple lock and overlapping joints, enables this chimney liner to withstand operational temperatures of up to 750° C and short fire temperatures of up to 1000° C. (e.g. A chimney fire. In the event of such an occurence, the future liner performance will be adversely affected) Multi fuel chimney liner with a 316 grade inner can be used with appliances burning the following fuels:- Cured dry logs, Cured dry peat, Coal, Coke, Gas For smokeless fuels, or slumbering appliances, please use a liner with a 904 grade inner. This multi fuel chimney liner is HETAS approved. BSRIA Type Test report No. 40143/1 Edition 5, November 2009 to BS EN1856-2: 2004 and BS EN 1443:2003. 10 & 20 Year Guarantees Multi fuel chimney liner is guaranteed for 10 years or 20 years (replacement of product only), depending upon the grade. This guarantee is subject to the following conditions:- The appliance must be operating normally, set correctly, and using only good quality fuels from the specified list.
