Our "made to order" chimney gathers are manufactured from 316 grade stainless steel and can be made to whatever size you require. Every gather is made to your exact requirements.
This online gather will allow customers to specify most options. For more complicated gathers, please email or fax us a sketch, and we'll get you a costing.
This item is manufactured to order, and is therefore not available for return.
There are various options for the top of your gather.
If you are connecting to a chimney liner in the chimney stack, then you can specify to have an integral adaptor to liner built into the gather.
Alternatively, you can specify a plain circular or square spigot at the top.
There are various ways to fix the gather in place.
You can specify to have solid turnouts on some or all of the sides of the gather. These solid turnouts allow the gather to be screwed into the fireplace opening.
Alternatively, you can specify mesh flanges. These are generally used where the gather is being built in at the same time as the fireplace construction.
Here you specify the basic shape of your gather.
Generally it's best to opt for a standard gather shape, where all sides taper evenly to the top section. This shape ensure the best possible performance for the gather.
You may, however, select the have the back side of your gather flat, so it doesn't taper at all. The other three sides will taper evenly.
All gathers are hand made. Whilst every effort is made to get you dimensions exact, please allow a tolerance of 15mm on all dimensions.
We have had customers say that their gather is 5mm larger or smaller than they specified. It's just not possible to manufacture them by hand with such small tolerances.
All gathers are manufactured to order.
Delivery times will vary according to the workload at the maufacturers. Generally however, delivery will be around 7-10 working days.
