The Brewer Ultimate Flue Outlet is a static anti downdraught chimney cowl suitable for use with gas, oil or solid fuel fired appliances. It is available in both round and square versions.
This model comes with a mesh pre-fitted which is suitable for use with oil or gas fired installations. This cowl can also be used on solid fuel installations by removing the mesh and activating the upstands to provide the increased airflow required.
The Ultimate Flue Outlet (UFO) when originally introduced in 1995, was the first gas chimney cowl in the UK to pass the vigorous requirements of BS7 15:1993 (200mm). Its ever increasing market share is testimony to its extensive benefits, advantages and superior antidowndraught qualities over other cowls.
The UFO MKII cowl incorporates four adjustable upstands that address the need for a greater exhaust area demanded by the use of solid fuels. The compact nature of the UFO MKII means it can be used on several pots on the same stack without modification, something some other cowls cannot achieve.
This square model has a base plate size of 388mm x 388mm (15½"x15½") and is designed to fit square pots with internal dimensions between 300mm and 337.5mm (12"-13.5").

This chimney cowl uses a strap band fixing method, considered to be the most secure method of fixing chimney cowls in the industry.
Four stainless steel straps attach from the cowl, and a stainless steel band (like a large jubilee clip) secures the cowl to the chimney pot. The bottom ends of the straps are then unturned to complete the installation.
The strap band fixings are included with this cowl.
Just the Job for Square Pots The square UFO cowl, as it's name suggests, is for use with square chimney pots. Very few manufacturers make specific cowls for square pots, prefering to concentrate on the larger market of round pots. So top marks to Brewer Cowls for this one.
