For
Sheeting and Cladding
Profiled sheeting or flat panel systems often require a flexible flashing, to provide a
weather sealing for pipes, chimneys, flues and electrical services
protruding through them. Aquarius pipe flashings are manufactured from
rubber compounds of the highest quality, which are durable even in
aggressive environments and able to withstand ultra-violet rays, insect
or fungi attack, acid rain or moisture, over a wide temperature range.
The flexible materials maintain a weatherproof seal allowing for pipe
movement due to expansion, contraction or vibration.
The manufacturers state that under normal weather conditions these pipe flashings have a life expectancy in excess of 20 years.
To
Suit Hot or Cold Pipes
Aquarius pipe flashings are available in either EPDM or Silicone
rubber materials. EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) suits
cold pipes, whereas Silicone rubber can withstand ultra high
temperatures associated with flues and steam pipes. |

Aquarius - Simple to
Install
Installation of all Aquarius
flashings is so simple. The flexible base can be formed to suit
virtually any profile and the purpose designed fixing kit includes
detailed fitting instructions, along with fasteners, sealant and
accessory items required for most sheeting and cladding applications. See
additional information for details of kits required.
As the name suggests, adaptability is the key feature of this product
range. In their standard configuration, Aquarius Aquadapt pipe flashings
cater for most applications. Where obstructions, such as cowls, bends
and brackets occur, the unique design of the flashing allows it to be
simply cut open down the seam, wrapped around the pipe and then crimped
together using stainless steel clips.
The square base design facilitates easy installation, especially on
profiled material, where cutting perfectly round clearance holes is
almost impossible. The ribbed configuration of the sleeve provides
optimum flexibility but avoids retention of water around the skirt,
which can attract airborne pollutants and lead to staining of the sheet
material.
Each flashing suits a wide range of pipe sizes and the sleeve has pipe
diameters marked on each rib as an aid to correct fitting.

Note:- For square
pipes or stanchions, use the following method to calculate the
size of the flashing required. Add up the dimensions of all four
sides and divide by 3.142. Select the flashing which will
comfortably accommodate the resulting dimension |
