Description
The flue boost is a box shaped unit with in line spigots for
the flue connection, a pressure switch to ensure safe operation, and
plug in electrical fittings for the easy connection all within a
compact package.
Capacities and Ranges
The Flue Boost 800 will handle flue gases at up to 300 degrees C
and boilers with heat outputs up to 800,000 Btu/h 235Kw (normal
secondary flue temperatures of the average gas appliance working
at 75% efficiency are 180 degrees C with a COČ content of 5%)

Motor Cooling
The motor is a speed controllable unit with class F windings. The
bearings are maintenance free sealed ball bearings with adequate
lubrication to ensure reliable operation for many years.
Connections
A plug-in electrical connector is supplied, this is a multi pin
connector fitted with a five core lead, the five cores are colour
coded.
Brown - permanent live
Blue - permanent neutral
Green & Yellow - earth
Black & White - switch live from thermostat to fan
Black - switch live from fan to boiler
The output supply is 220/240
volt switch live only.
Pressure Switch
The pressure switch has contacts which close with air flow and open in
the event of a fan failure. Note:- The pressure switch has an
interlock installed which ensures failsafe operation.
Time Delay
The fan has built in variable pre purge and post purge periods (time delay) of approximately 30
seconds to 3 minutes, this is to purge the boiler of any gases
before and after the boiler firing sequence.
Installation and Maintenance
Full instructions on installation and operating come with the
unit. If service or repairs are required the working parts may be
removed as a sub assembly without disturbing the main case.
Finish
All surfaces in contact with the flue gases are corrosion
resistant stainless steel.
