The Aspiromatic is a spinning cowl and ventilator, designed to cure the problems associated with downdraught. It is suitable for use with appliances burning all types of fuel; oil, gas, coal, wood.

Technical Specification
The Aspiromatic is constructed from materials to resist attack from chemical agents which may be present in the burnt gases and the atmosphere. It comprises:-

• A stainless steel support fitted with stainless screws which adapts easily to all types of chimney top

• A pivot, mounted on ball bearings specially designed to resist extremes of temperature; the system is enclosed in a watertight area and protected by an oil seal.

• A rotating body composing an assembly of stainless steel helicoidal blades, each blade riveted to the circular base frame

Situation
Aspiromatic efficiency is not subject to wind direction and therefore the cowl may be located in a variety of situations. Nevertheless, because the cowl is driven by wind, its performance will be lower in the case of protected conditions (small enclosed courtyards) and a maximum under open conditions, exposed to prevailing winds.

High Winds:-  High wind areas can be a problem for revolving chimney cowls, and we therefore generally do not recommend their use in coastal areas or areas where there are regular high winds. However, if you are going to use one, then the Vesta Air Spinner is the one to go for. It's the most solid construction of all the revolving chimney cowls. Otherwise, please consider using the Windkat, the H Cowl, or a Vedette cowl. Alternatively, budget choices for high wind areas would be the Maxi Cowl, the Colt Top All Purpose (with strap band fixing), or the Mini Eurocowl.
