Revolving chimney cowls are designed to cure the problems
caused by downdraught. They work in 2 ways. When the
wind blows, the chimney cowl spins and air is drawn up the
chimney. Once the fire is going well, the warm air on
the underside of the fins also help to rotate the
cowl.
